A most interesting dish of lively design from the famed Hoi An wreck, excavated from 1997 to 1999. As Dessa Goddard pointed out in "Arts of Asia" magazine in 2001: "Prior to the discovery of the Hoi An cargo, Vietnamese ceramics were relatively unknown to the world outside of the community of scholars and collectors of Southeast Asia ceramics."
